Laundry Container Revamp

I had container to hold my laundry detergent but it didn't have a lid and since I stored it above the dryer it would clump really easily (because of the heat/steam from the washer & dryer). So I picked up one of these containers at Target for about $6. I created this cut in the Cricut Craft Room and it turned out great! I love working with vinyl and really need to use it more often. ;)

Last Saturday was a busy day for us. We had our nephew's 2nd birthday from 11-1pm and then we had my friend's daughter's 2nd birthday from 3-5pm and that was about an hour and a half away from us. Needless to say, we got a lot of driving time in and Carver slept in the car. 

Here's the card we gave Reina. :) Funny Story: I pulled out my iRock tool and realized it had dead batteries. No big deal, I'll just get some out of the pantry. I go to the pantry and realize we have NO batteries!! How is that?!?!?! We always have batteries! I thought about taking batteries out of a remote or toy but then decided to just use Glossy Accents.

Oh Boy!

Since I had two baby boy showers to go to, I pulled out my stash of cards and realized I only had a few baby boy cards! How can that be? So since it was a beautiful day out (meaning Chris and Carver were working/playing outside) I had some time to make a few cards. It really helped to have one theme to go on. Here's one of the cards I made and I used this one for the Bible Study shower last Wednesday. I saw this over at Joyful Stamper at some point. When I see a card that inspires me, I save the picture in a file so I can go back when I need some inspiration. Don't worry, I put where I found it so I can give them credit. :)

Our nephew's 2nd birthday party was last Saturday and it was a mash up between an Elmo party and a sports ball party. haha Here's the card that Carver and I came up with for him.

 And since I was cutting Elmo anyways, I decided to cut two. Here's the other card I came up with. I actually like this one better than the one we gave Tyler. haha

I think I'm setting myself up for potential disaster by always making thank you cards when there's a baby shower. haha They're just so practical and fun to make. My Bible Study had a baby shower last Wednesday before we left town so I made these really quick. I only had enough ribbon for half of them but this gives her a little variety. This stamp set (Definitely Definitions) by Pink by Design is fast becoming one of my favorites!!! They might need to make another set with different words (hint hint Sarah! haha)

Happy Anniversary!

My 4th Anniversary was on Thursday. It's amazing that we've been together a total of 8 years now! We've definitely been through a lot but I wouldn't change anything! I love you Chris!

Since we were going to Spokane for the weekend, we decided to leave early so that my mom could watch Carver while we went to dinner and a movie for our anniversary. We saw The Lucky One and loved it! I'm a BIG Nicholas Sparks fan so I love anything by him and Chris actually likes chick flicks! haha How did I get so lucky?!? :)

Here's the card I made for Chris. I had seen it over at Scrappin Navy Wife and had been meaning to use this gumball machine for something so I 'stole' Nikki's use of polka dots and we were good to go. :) I used my camera to take the picture so that's why it's not the best quality. Sorry!

Wishes for Baby take 2

Here's the Wishes for Baby cards I made for Amanda's shower last weekend. They are essentially the same as the ones I made for my friend, Jena in January, just with colors changed. I love how simple they are to make and how personal they are to the baby. I purposefully try not to read what people write but I caught a glimpse of one of Amanda's brother's cards. It was so sincere and he put so much time into his answers. I loved it! This little boy is going to grow up knowing so many people love him.
