Another birthday present

Here's one of the cards and a present that I couldn't show you before. I finally met up with my friend, Mallorie, for dinner to celebrate her birthday.

Create a Critter cartridge
(Hippo 2"; Pond 1.5"; Grass 1.5"; Phrase 1.5"; Paper = all scraps)

I bought a...

... PINK CRICUT EXPRESSION!!!!! It was on sale at Michael's for $280 (regular price is $400). We were trying to justify putting it on the credit card when we realized that we had a little extra money in Chris's account and we didn't need to buy any groceries so we paid cash for it!!! I'd told myself that I'd wait until October, when the pink Expressions usually come out, and see if it was on sale. It just wasn't that important to get right away. But Chris decided we could swing it. I love my husband!!!!!

I'll try to post later today with a craft or two. It'll depend on if lil monkey decides to take a nap. He didn't take a nap until 430pm yesterday and then it was only for an hour. Good thing my mom was here or I would've gone crazy. haha

What I've been up to lately

I've been busy making birthday cards. Here's the ones that have been given to their recipient. The rest, I'll have to show you later so it doesn't spoil the surprise. :)

This one is for my sister-in-law. She's a teacher and I wanted to use my new Printing 101 cartridge.

(Printing 101; Notecard - 4 3/4"; paper - all scraps; ribbon - JoAnns)

The inside of the card

(Printing 101; puzzle pieces - 1"; paper - all scraps)

A birthday card for my Dad. This is a Criss Cross card and I found the tutorial for it here.

(DCWV The Stack III and scraps; McGill Mini Tab Punch)

This last one is for a friend's daughter that just turned one! Her new bedroom is going to pink and white so we used that as a jumping ground for her card and present.

(S-Cuttin' Up at 4 1/2", Ladybug - Doodlecharms at 1"; Black & White paper - Target; Pink Gingham - Paper Pizazz; ribbon from Michaels)

Her present. We got her some wood alphabet blocks and the basket is to hold them in. I got the basket in the bath section at Target and weaved the ribbon through it.
