Nursing Book

When Carver was born I made a notebook to record when I nursed and changed his diaper (cause doctors want to know that kind of thing) as well as when I took my pain medications. Those first few weeks are a big blur and I didn't want to try to remember when I did those things.

I made these for a few friends that had babies after Carver was born but sort of forgot about this little time saver until I was cleaning out Carver's dresser and found it tucked away. So off I went to make one for one of my oldest friends that's due next month with a little boy. I think once things slow down a little around here, I'll make a few to have on hand for baby shower presents. :)

I took a pack of notebook paper and cut it down to size for the inside and assembled it. I distressed the edges so it looks worn and I kept it pretty simple. I'm taking it to the post office today so she gets it before baby Max gets here.

This Weekend

If you're in the Gig Harbor/Port Orchard area this weekend, I will be at the Fathoms O' Fun festival down on the water in Port Orchard! It's free so bring your family and have fun! It's supposed to be nice so it'll be a great way to spend the day.  If you come down, don't forget to come say hi!!

Sympathy Hexagons

Last one, I promise! I just loved these hexagons and had to make a few up. They are great for a quick and simple card.

Gone Fishin

Chris's dad's birthday was May 30th and yes, I'm just now posting his card. Anyways, he LOVES to fish, as in he fishes almost every day. So of course, I had to make a fishing inspired card for him. I wanted to take a different approach than the fish on the fishing pole and this is what I came up with.
Carver really wanted a fish so I put one on the inside.

Yellow & Gray Wedding Shower

I hosted a wedding shower for one of my oldest friends today. Our moms became friends when we moved to Ellensburg and I was 2 1/2 years old. That was before she was born so I've known her all her life. haha

Anyways, she's getting married so I had to throw a shower for her. Her wedding colors are yellow and cobalt blue. Her favorite color is yellow so I took that and added gray. Gray and I have had a thing lately and I've always secretly wanted to throw a yellow/gray party so it was perfect!

I kept the invites pretty simple since I had to plan this shower and Carver's party (last weekend) at the same time.

All Aboard!

The boys went fishing today so that gave me some time to catch up on stuff for the shower I'm hosting this weekend and then I actually got to craft for the fun of it! Yay! I ended up making two cards and I'll post the other one tomorrow. This one was Carver's favorite. :)

Three Years

My son turned 3 years old today. It is mind boggling to me that it has been three years since we brought this little boy home. He is constantly challenging me, stretching me and teaching me. He brings joy to our lives and we couldn't imagine living without him.

Happy Fathers Day!

Happy Fathers Day! I am so blessed to have an amazing father to my sons. He is amazing with Carver and is so patient with him. :) I wouldn't be the person I am today without my dad. He taught me a lot. I love you Dad!

Here's the cards I whipped up (uhm yesterday! haha). Chris's dad and my mom's husband got the ones that say "Happy Fathers Day" from Carver. Chris's is, obviously, the one that says "Dad, you are amazing"

This one is from me to my dad. I made the same concept card for Chris to give his dad. With a different stamp, of course.

Congrats Banner

Here's a random card I made. I've had a hard time getting into a groove lately. I think I feel guilty if I'm not working on Carver's birthday party or the bridal shower that I'm hosting the next weekend.
