Teacher Gift

Here's the gift I made for Carver's teacher, Miss Erin. I couldn't find these tumblers at the dollar store anymore so I got a four pack of them on Amazon for way more than $1 a piece. I filled it with regular Via and a few iced Via. I used Cricut Craft Room to get the right size for the vinyl.

Laundry Container Revamp

I had container to hold my laundry detergent but it didn't have a lid and since I stored it above the dryer it would clump really easily (because of the heat/steam from the washer & dryer). So I picked up one of these containers at Target for about $6. I created this cut in the Cricut Craft Room and it turned out great! I love working with vinyl and really need to use it more often. ;)

Clearing the Clutter Challenge #10

First of all, I'd like to apologize for not posting this week. I've been playing catch up ever since we got back from being gone for Memorial Day weekend. I'll fill you in on what we did later today.

Today for my Clearing the Clutter Challenge, I did something that I told myself would be the first thing I did with my Expression. I had previously cut this with my baby bug but it was only 5.5" and I wanted it to make a bigger statement than that. So when I was brainstorming on what to do for this month's challenge this came to mind. No, I was not sitting on the toilet when I thought of it. haha For some reason I can't find the original post.

One of our wedding presents was some seafoam green towels (we registered for an olive color) so I decided to make our guest bath a sea theme. I have some shells we collected when we were on our honeymoon in Captiva, FL and it went from there. The walls are white and pale blue. There is horrible lighting in there with no natural light but it works for now. I'm still slowly adding pieces to the room to finish it off.

If you're new to my blog, welcome! You can head over to this post to get caught up on what this challenge is about. Feel free to play along. If you do, add a link to your blog in a comment. If I get enough people linking, I'll add a link button. Have a great weekend!

Through Rain, Snow, Sleet or Shine...

**I found my mojo!**

Over the last couple months, I have had two packages stolen and I have no idea how many envelopes. When Chris bought the property six years ago, he knew that the area was prone to baseball bat attacks but never this. What heard on the news that a couple areas in the harbor had mail theft but we didn't think anything of it. But after not receiving ANY mail between Christmas and New Years we decided it was time to get a secure mailbox.

We found this one, for cheaper than we budgeted I might add! It looks like a regular mailbox, as you can see, but when you open the door, there's a slot at the top where the mail goes. Then it drops into the bottom part where you need a key to open.

Clearing the Clutter Challenge #2

First off, I'd like to apologize for not posting in TWO WEEKS!!! WOW! We've been caught up in sick babies (flu -- cold -- then fever yesterday and rash today). And to add to that, work has been pretty busy. This all means, no time for Tana to craft. :*(
--------

This is week 2 of our Clearing the Clutter Challenge. You can go to THIS post to find out all the details about it. Since I haven't had much time to craft I didn't get any 'big' projects off my desk. I did get a couple small ones done though. So I got something accomplished, right???

Project #1 - Halloween Cards
I've been procrastinating as much as I could on these. I don't even know why I send them out. The only reason why I like Halloween is dressing Carver up and candy corn. But when Carver was born, I sent out Halloween cards to all the babies that were born around the same time as him. And I expanded it this year to family.

Recipe:
Paper -- Black -Recollections; Orange - Bazzill 'Orange Slice'; Pumpkins (not pictured) - KI Memories 'Pumpkin Party'; Halloween words - DCWV Halloween
Designers Calendar -- Halloween 2", Spider 2.5"

Project #2 - Carver's Potties

We bought the green potty for Carver a few months ago and finally decided to spend the $4 to get a second one to keep at my mom's house. We bought them from Ikea and they only had the two colors. :( I kinda wanted the white one they had on their website.

Recipe:
Monkey --> Create a Critter 3"
Carver --> Cuttin' Up 1.5"
White vinyl, Ikea potty

That's all I got finished but I have a couple that I was working on but need some supplies to finish. You'll get to see those next time. :)

As always, please feel free to play along. Just add a link in your comment. If we get enough we'll add a Mr. Linky.

Now hop on over to Lorie's blog and see what she's cleared off her desk.

Vinyl Frames

I'm just starting to get into cutting vinyl with my Cricut and here's a couple frames that I did.

I did this one for a wedding we went to and am probably going to make one to hang in our living room.

Cartridge: Alphalicious
Frame: 11x14

This was for my friend's daughter's 1st birthday. I loved the way this one turned out so much that I'm making one for my son's room.
