Portrait Layout

I've decided that part (definitely not all) of the reason for my lack of blogging is that I feel like I need to have all the details of what papers I used, etc. Well, I'm still going to keep track in a spiral notebook that I have, but I'm not going to feel guilty about not having them on here. Let's see if that gets me to post sooner. If you want to know what I used on a project, definitely shoot me a note and I'll let you know. :)

Here's one of the layouts I did way before McKay was born. I'm finding that having two kids is a lot busier than one self-sufficient child. My hands are usually full with a precious little six week old and trying to entertain her older brother. Let's just say that my house is a PIT that I'd be embarrassed for anyone to see.

This is one of those pre-done sheets of paper in a stack that I've always disliked. But it seemed to work ok to throw this layout together.

Keep Calm and Teach On

I did a craft show at a high school in the beginning of March. I knew that there would be some teachers there so I made these cards. All the teachers loved them!

Thankful for You

I made a bunch of thank you cards for a friend. Here's one of them. As you can tell, I've kind of been in a anti die-cutting phase. I think I get like this when I'm pregnant because I have to stand at my Cricut and Big Shot, and that puts a lot of pressure on my belly and takes energy. It just seems easier to sit. Hopefully this phase will end soon because I need to cut a bunch of elephants for McKay's birth announcements and the invites for Carver's birthday party.

Yellow & Gray Wedding Shower

I hosted a wedding shower for one of my oldest friends today. Our moms became friends when we moved to Ellensburg and I was 2 1/2 years old. That was before she was born so I've known her all her life. haha

Anyways, she's getting married so I had to throw a shower for her. Her wedding colors are yellow and cobalt blue. Her favorite color is yellow so I took that and added gray. Gray and I have had a thing lately and I've always secretly wanted to throw a yellow/gray party so it was perfect!

I kept the invites pretty simple since I had to plan this shower and Carver's party (last weekend) at the same time.

The LONG awaited bacon card

Here's the card that I mentioned, gasp!, forever ago. This is the Valentine card that Chris and Carver gave me this year. Chris said that he loves bacon so this sentiment was perfect. :)

Carver's presents for his friends

Here's 3 of the 5 mini mailboxes Carver gave to his friends (and the one we gave to Chris). They were in the dollar section at Target. Then Carver and I found some stickers, notebooks, fruit snacks and nail polish (for the girls) to put inside the mailboxes. Carver picked out a sock monkey for Alijah. :)

Here's the one 'we' made for Alea and Sadie (Sadie's of course, has an S)

This is Alijah's - or Alea baby as Carver calls him. :)

Here's Chris's. He originally said he didn't want one but we gave him one anyways and Carver filled it up.

You're Got my Heart on a String

With all the snow/ice going on, I've been able to get some crafting done! However, our power was out for about 4 hours yesterday so I was limited to what I could use. In total, I was able to made three different cards! I'll post the other two over the next few days.

Sarah Hamer Designs (aka Pink Cricut) has a new link party every Tuesday. It's a great place to get ideas and you've got a couple more days to link up to the current link party!

Wedding Thank Yous

Yay! I got to my craft desk yesterday and today! My mom asked me to make some thank you cards for the gifts they got at their wedding. She needed 20 and didn't really give me any pointers so I used the wedding colors (red and gold). She did mentioned a wedding bell somewhere in there. I combined all of that and this is what I came up with.

So glad we're friends

First of all, sorry for the lack of posting. I have been busily working on Christmas cards, making presents and favor bags for a Christmas party. I got a couple projects done yesterday so I feel comfortable being on the computer right now. :)

My mom's fiance wanted 20 cards to send to his mom as a Christmas present. Originally he wanted 5 sets of 4 cards. This was the first set I made for her. I made another set yesterday (I couldn't take a picture because my hubby took my camera to work). And then while my mom was here for the day yesterday, we decided to do 4 sets of 5 cards and I pulled two sets I already had done to finish the 20 cards. Yay for getting it done and saving time in the process!!!

*Blogger won't turn the picture (it's right side up on my computer but blogger turns it. So you'll have to crane your neck a little. Sorry!*

Beautiful Birthday Girl

I feel horrible for not posting anything!!! I sat down every day since Saturday ready to post this card but then something always came up. I'm going to schedule the thank you cards I made for tomorrow so that I definitely have something then.

This is the card I made for my niece's birthday. According to Alea, she wanted a 'mermaid-princess theme'. Well, her mom got invites that had cupcakes on them and from there it turned into a cupcake theme. haha

Here's one of the cards I made yesterday. I used Card Patterns sketch #135 (it closed yesterday). I am loving DCWV's Ghosts and Goblins stack. I wish I'd gotten the small stack to go with the 12x12 so that I could use some more of the bigger designs on cards.

Today is another challenge over at Paper Playtime. This challenge is to make an easel card. Since I forgot to make my dear hubby a birthday card I decided to make this card for him. He'd never seen an easel card before (I don't know if I've actually made one) and he LOVED it! :)
