Walkin Boots

This is one of the Pink by Design sets that was released last month. I grew up in a small country town where the biggest event is the fair and rodeo Labor day weekend. We are at the end of a circuit so whoever wins at our rodeo goes onto Nationals in Las Vegas (the Super Bowl of rodeo). So I had to have this set!!! It was so much fun to work with, and for a non-colorer it was fun to color. :)

Furbaby layout

These are my furbabies! We have two rottweiller mixes and I love them to bits. On the left is Rocky and he's half rott, 1/4 lab and 1/4 shepherd. On the right is Kenya and she's half rott and half newfundlund. The tags pull out where I put the journaling. I used The Scrappiest's sketch 122 for this set of layouts and Kenya's page is a mirror image.

Prayer Journal

My brother's girlfriend requested another journal. Since her birthday is on Monday, I decided to just make it her birthday present. The journal I gave her for Christmas had a travel theme since she had just returned from a couple months in Kenya. You can see that journal HERE. It's the 2nd journal pictured. It was hard to get an idea of what I wanted to do for this journal so I went through my stash of masks and stamps that I rarely used and here's what I came up with. I love how I distressed the tag and added a stamp to it.

Back cover

Inside the front cover - I added a tag and holder. The tag has a note from me. On all the prayer journals I make, I add Bible verses on random pages and I did the same here.

Summer's coming... *fingers crossed*

I found these flip flops on the Pink Journey cartridge and it worked perfectly with Mr. Pink's challenge on the Pink by Design message board. I also used Peachy Keen's current sketch (#54) to help the juices flow.

I had this great idea to twist the ribbon but it didn't turn out exactly how I had pictured. Hmm... I'll have to try again.

Another Journal

Yesterday was my brother's girlfriend's birthday. So I put together a little care package to send her (they live in Colorado). Her favorite color is light yellow (think pastel/Easter) so I found a little candy dish and big coffee mug that were both yellow. I filled the bowl with Dove caramel chocolates (wrapped in yellow wrappers), mini York Pepp. Patties and of course Starbucks Via. I had my mom ship it from her work so she could add something too. Oh and I made this journal. haha

Back cover

Details:
'A' stamp - Inkadinkado
Masks, coffee stain stamp, 'Renew' stencil - Tim Holtz
Flower stamp - Kaisercraft
'I like you a latte' and coffee stamps - TPC Studio 'Coffee Cafe'
Ledger - Unity Stamp

I'm, possibly, considering making one of these to sell on Etsy. Just to see if they'd sell. What do you think???

Clearing the Clutter Challenge #3

Today is the Clearing the Clutter challenge!!! Lorie's out of town so it's just me posting this week. I only have a small project this time since we were gone for about a week. I found this letter coat hanger in the dollar section at Michaels back in May/June so I got one for Carver and an R for my friend's daughter. And Carver's has been sitting ever since. :( This is why I LOVE this challenge!

I used Rhonna Farrer paper (never heard of that brand but I got it at Michaels, I think) and mod podged it to the coat hanger. After it was dry I took my Tim Holtz sanding block and distressed the edges a little.

What have you done to clear the clutter? As always, feel free to post a link in a comment to any projects you've created. :)

Have a great weekend everyone!

Never Ending Card

Charlie if you're reading this... STOP!!!

I saw this over HERE at Creations By Christie and instantly had to try it out. I needed to make a birthday card for Charlie anyways so it worked out perfectly. :)

The front of the card. I used all DCWV papers on every fold.

Fold #2; Tim Holtz stamp ('Journey' set)

Fold #3

Fold #4; Tim Holtz stamp ('Journey' set)

Then it begins again at the first fold. If you turn it over, it has a whole new design. It turned out pretty awesome if you ask me. :) I'm going to hide a gift card in one of the folds.

An Oh My Crafts! Haul

I scored big time at Oh My Crafts! and I had to share with you. :) I originally ordered 9 sets of embossing folders and a refill for my Tim Holtz sanding block. They ended up refunding me for two of the embossing folders because they were out of stock. And the drumroll for the total................ $13.28 SHIPPED!!! (that's after the $3 refund). How awesome is that?!?!

These are cut and emboss folders. RIP and Beware.

Clearing the Clutter Challenge #1

If you remember back to THIS post, I accepted a challenge to make time to craft. Well I followed through! And a friend of mine is doing it with me. We'll be able to keep each other accountable and we'll link up to the other's blog. We'll be posting every other Friday.

Ok, enough lead up. Here's the project that I finished. I started it a couple months ago when I was inspired by THIS post by Creations By Christie. I thought it would be a great idea to keep track of everything and it feeds to my OCD. haha

The front. I used all Tim Holtz products for embellishing. The cover, book strap and o-wire are Zutter. I used Cuttlebug embossing folders and alcohol inks for the tabs.

The back. The only stamp that wasn't Tim Holtz is the script stamp.

I put the logo on each tab divider.

This is how I laid out the pages. I listed all of the current Cricut cartridges. There were some that came out after I printed the pages so I added those in. The ones in pink, and those highlighted pink, are ones I have. There's also 3 pages after this.

I couldn't get the Cuttlebug logo to look right. :(

This is the Sizzix and Tim Holtz embossing folders.

EK Success border punches.

I copied and saved the thumbnails from EK Success's website and pasted them on here. Again, I highlighed the ones I have.

I got all of these from the Ranger website.

This section just has the Changito monkey stamps. Since Carver's theme is monkeys, I have a bunch of these stamps.

The last tab is blank pages. This will have wishlists and additions that come out.

The reason why it took so long was that I did the covers and then punched with my Bind-it-All... except I put the metal spockets too close and it was too thick to fit in the Bind-it-All. And then to top it off, I punched the back cover on the wrong side. haha So I ordered more covers (5 to be exact!) and punched first! OH! I guess I should tell you how big it is. It's 7x5. The covers came at 7.5x5 so I had my husband cut it down with the chopsaw. It worked great! Good to know for future projects. I feel like I'm leaving something out. Feel free to ask questions.

Now, hop on over to Lorie's blog, www.live-love-laugh-create.blogspot.com

Want to join us? Just finish a project that has been sitting on your desk for awhile. Then send us a link in a comment! If there's enough people we'll add a Mr. Linky!!
